Don't hold your breath; Arkansas bar awaits chance to judge president's fitness as a lawyer
Article Abstract:

Keeping 'em honest: a professor who crusaded against contingency abuses puts a tax form proposal before Congress
Article Abstract:

Brickman wants 1099 forms filed when contingency fee attorneys receive funds for clients. However, estimates vary as to how much tax revenue would be generated by this change. Opposition from the law community generally has been lower than expected, although both the IRS and the American Assn of Trial Lawyers point out the administrative problems that could result from Brickman's idea.
