Let your fingers do the talking; electronic mail can help lawyers stay in touch with clients
Article Abstract:
Electronic mail is an effective way to communicate instantaneously with a client or with multiple clients at the same time. Internal law firm use of e-mail will probably soon expand to use of this technology with clients. Any lawyer with a modem and the proper software can send and receive e-mail, saving money on support staff and enhancing productivity in the process. The technology works best for idea exchange and development, not for closing matters such as contracts. E-mail etiquette dictates checking an e-mail box once daily at least.
