Managerial work and lying: a conceptual framework and an explorative case study
Article Abstract:
An interview of two managers revealed that morality remains in their management job. The two managers stressed that honesty, equality and justice are their basic principles in managing. They also stressed the importance of giving information equally to all members of the organization. On the other hand, they also revealed that there are cases in which telling the truth to everyone is not the best solution. Instead of the word 'lying,' the managers believe that it is more apt to use the term 'to keep back information' when making decisions not to tell the truth.
