Prospecting the internet
Article Abstract:
The Internet is a hospitable and indeed vital location in which all lawyers should consider establishing a presence, for many reasons. The 20 million people who reside at least part-time in the Internet include countless potential and existing clients, many engaged there in commercial activity and interested in lawyers who can show they are at home there. Vast amounts of information are readily accessible, and data can be easily communicated worldwide via this system with good security.

A better way to court families; ABA summit explores benefits of unifying domestic relations hearings
Article Abstract:
Across the US there are efforts to unify family courts, merging the complex structures set up to hear domestic relations matters into one courts where the same judge and support staff hear all matters arising out of a family's case. Usually a case is split among several judges, with each judge hearing a different aspect. Unified family courts have appeared in 12 states, and interest is widespread. The ABA Summit on Unified Family Courts investigate the area.

High-tech matchmaking
Article Abstract:
Recommendations by the ABA Tech2000 Task Force on Lawyers Delivering Legal Services over the Internet are described. The task force's aim is to study how the ABA can direct the high-tech flow of legal services to low- and moderate-income clients, and some of its proposals are described.
