The CITES Fort Lauderdale criteria: the uses and limits on science in international conversation decisionmaking
Article Abstract:
Regulation of the international trade in wild species of plants and animals under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and its predecessors is discussed. The criteria for scientific evidence established at the 9th CITES conference, held in Fort Lauderdale, is outlined.
