Thomas B. Green, the senior vice pres of law and administration and secretary of the Dell Computer Corp, is profiled. Dell was the No. 1 seller of personal computers in 1999, with $27.5 bil in sales and a market capitalization of $120 bil. Dell also markets hardware to make the Internet work and servers and storage to help the hardware work.
