The art of communicating arbitral judgments: write ya' heart out!
Article Abstract:
Arbitrators should realize that communicating their judgments in writing is just as important as making the judgment. Arbitrators can improve their writing by addressing the needs of their three audiences: the advocates, the clients and the external review agencies. Arbitrators need not use the traditional organizational format for writing the judgment, but the language should be clear, concise and natural.
