Measuring the domain of mediating hierarchy: how contestable are U.S. public corprations?
Article Abstract:
The author addresses the 'mediating hierarchy' version of the 'team production' model of explaining US corporations. The author argues that the model fails to rationalize corporate law or provide a means of reforming close corporations, but may be of use in understanding publicly-held corporations not controlled by single shareholders.
