The entertainment industry, marketing practices, and violent content: who's minding the children?

The marketing practices of the US entertainment industry especially pertaining to children, took a major public policy turn in 1999. This major change took place when President Clinton requested the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice to undertake a study of whether movie, music video games industries, market and advertise product with violent content to juveniles.
