What makes people think like economists? Evidence on economic congnition from the "Survey of Americans and Economists on the Economy"
Article Abstract:
A study of influences that cause people to adopt the beliefs and opinions of economists is presented. Five social factors which influence people to think like economists are stated. Neither level of income nor political beliefs are among these factors.

Do some outside directors play a political role?
Article Abstract:
Corporate directors are often valued for their political abilities. This is shown by the fact that there are more directors with political and legal experience in industries to whom politics are important.
