The jurisdictional aspects of litigation involving international clients
Article Abstract:
Attorneys for international clients who may be brought to court in the US should know the jurisdictional aspects of trying foreign people and companies within the US. The US court must have both subject and personal jurisdiction in the matter and the defendant must have received a service of process. For attorneys, the personal jurisdiction and service of process aspects are the most important, and they are discussed in detail.

Cyberlaw: constitutional requirements for in personam jurisdiction
Article Abstract:
Meeting the constitutional due process minimum contact requirement to establish personal jurisdiction in cyberspace has been difficult, as seen in the various decisions of the US Courts of Appeals. Electronic commerce activities have not always fit the definition of 'systematic and continuous' to establish personal jurisdiction. Case law related to Internet commerce is surveyed.
