The regulatory response to the new world of cybersecurities
Article Abstract:
Federal and state responses to the growth of electronic trading in securities on the Internet are discussed. Issues include the existing scheme of federal and state regulation, impact of the Internet on the securities marketplace, and application of federal securities law to foreign brokers and dealers.

Jurisdiction in cyberspace: which law and forum apply to securities transactions on the Internet?

Issues involving international jurisdiction over securities transactions on the Internet are discussed. The American and European approaches to choice of law are compared, and the application of traditional jurisdictional principles to Internet securities transactions are analyzed.
