David Moore, director of Company PicturesE new period drama Tom BrownEs School Days, explains how the adaptation of the classic novel by Thomas Hughes is relevant to the present day youngsters, especially in the light of the recent suspension of forty students from Bournemouth school for bullying one of the pupils. Moore discusses the meticulous research undertaken to capture the background setting and costumes. The drama is going to be broadcast on the 1st of January 2005, on ITV1.

The drama is about OTC (over-the-counter) derivatives market - in which secret deals are made between big banks and corporations to create stability in the global markets; but this unregulated market which is largely based in London, is usually the base for triggering financial crisis worldwide.
