C4 cashes in on Lewinsky scoop
Article Abstract:
Channel 4 (C4) paid #400,000 to tape 8 hours with Monica Lewinsky. C4 then sold the footage to more than 25 countries. In doing so, C4 more recovered more than it's initial expenses. The interview was taped in New York City, and then edited down to 8 hours. Jon Snow, who interviewed Ms. Lewinsky, was quite pleased with her responsiveness, and candor. He also stated that he would have paid double the agreed price for the interview. The program aired on March 4.
