C4 gets Dazed & Confused for masthead TV
Article Abstract:
Channel 4 has partnered with style magazine Dazed & Confused to produce a two-hour masthead programming entitled Renegade.TV Gets Dazed. The program, which is expected to become the first example of a masthead programming for a commercial terrestrial TV, will have the full-participation of Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack and creative director Rankin. It will copy the structure of the magazine and will feature more than 30 items such as documentaries and spoof ads. The program will first be seen on TV on Sept. 17, 1998 at 11:30 pm, with Hack presenting parts of the show and Rankin as the subject of a video portrait.

C4 bags Sky rights to Friends and ER
Article Abstract:
Channel 4 has acquired both pay-TV and terrestrial rights to the Warner Bros. programs, Friends and ER. The deal is thought to be worth $140 million. Channel 4 outbid BSkyB for the programs.
