Capital asset
Article Abstract:
Capital Radio appointed Mark Findlay to head its music programming. Findlay has made his mark in radio in Scotland and has also gained a reputation for promoting new bands. Findlay's appointment follows reports that London's Capital 95.9 FM lost 17% of its audience in fourth-quarter 2002 vis-a-vis the same period in 2001. In addition, profits have suffered and layoffs have taken place. The station believes it has a turnaround plan in place but it will be up to Findlay to make it work and to promote promising new talent.
