Channel 4 announced at the 2007 Edinburgh Television Festival that "Celebrity Big Brother" will be rested in 2008, releasing new programs for autumn that reaffirm its commitment to public service. Its new TV shows include child literacy series "Can't Read, Can't Write" and the drama "Relief of Beslan". The Channel 4's Julian Bellamy and Kevin Lygo on the channel's autumn shows are also presented.

Oscar-winners Cowboy to adapt Poppy Shakespeare

Channel 4 has commissioned producer of Oscar-winning film "The Last King of Scotland" Cowboy Pictures for an adaptation of "Poppy Shakespeare".
