Construction permits
Article Abstract:
Construction permits must be kept current. Expired permits require repeat filing and can be extended 18 months for a radio station and 24 months for a television station. Applications must define the necessary period of extension, which can be granted for up to 6 months. Construction permits can be assigned, and each antenna requires applicants to submit an Antenna Structure Registration Number.

Unauthorized transfer of control
Article Abstract:
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires notification of who is responsible for controlling various aspects of broadcast station functions. Before control of these functions is transferred, the FCC holds a hearing to explore control issues. If all procedures are not properly followed, the FCC will rule control has been unauthorized and revoke the new arrangement.
