Article Abstract:
The British and French film industries' cooperative productions with Central and Eastern Europe are successful examples of pan-European exchange which can benefit all parties both financially and culturally. European filmmakers in the 1990s have taken broad steps towards European unity and accepted cultural diversity by combining their artistic and financial resources in the film industry. Eastern European films co-produced with British and French filmmakers have offered the public realistic, multicultural representations of the modern European community.
