Article Abstract:
The television broadcasting industry in the Netherlands is small with only 7.1 million TV homes, but the wealth of its market makes the industry attractive to foreign investors. TV advertising spending, which is listed at 595 million pounds in 2006, is growing by 2% annually. Profiles of NOS, RTL Group, and SBS, leading companies in the industry which was the first to switch off analogue terrestrial TV in Europe, are also given.
