Endemol regains indie status

A proposed amendment that would allow television production firms that are owned by non-United Kingdom transmitting broadcasters to get back their independent status has been approved by the UK government. The new legislation is titled "The Broadcasting (Independent Productions)(Amendment) Order 2003."
