Time honoured
Article Abstract:
Several epic scale documentary television series are being planned as the 20th century draws to a close. The most visionary of these is 'People's Century,' which is being made by the BBC in association with Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) station WGBH. This will be shown in two stages, making a total of 26 programmes lasting 60 minutes. These documentaries are particularly significant for their use of often previously unknown archive material converted into tape format.
