At a cost of 13.6 million pounds sterling, it is the largest project Nine Network has been involved in. Another large co-produced project is The Violent Earth, which has a budget of 4.5 million pounds sterling. Nine's aim is to expand its UK-originated programming, which is becoming increasingly popular, and it has signed a deal with Circle Communications to distribute such programmes as Lynda La Plante's Supply and Demand.
