ITV and C4 call for BBC indie reforms
Article Abstract:
ITV and Channel 4, the BBC's commercial rivals are setting up an independent commissioning arm and raising their external production quota to 50% to strengthen the indie sector. It is believed that the only way for the BBC to stop missing its 25 percent independent quota is to create a separate commissioning entity at the corporation.

BBC executive revamp

Director General of the BBC Greg Dyke has reorganized the structure of his executive committee, removing the distribution and technology branch and disbursing its responsibilities between the strategy and new media divisions. He also created a business commercial director position. A chart shows the new organization of the committee.
