Northern Ireland-based independent producers are lobbying the government to support the newly established Scottish Broadcasting Commission's efforts to increase their share of UK network output from 0.1% to 3%. Leading Irish TV companies are talking with industry groups to join in this effort. Data on Irish-made television productions are discussed.

Century showcases doc talent in new C4 strand
Article Abstract:
Channel 4 has launched "First Cuts", a series of 30-minute commissioned documentary films, wherein Century Pictures' "In Search for Mr. Average" and "A Piece of the Moon" will be featured. These films, which are part of the 15 films that "First Cuts" will showcase starting in November 2007, are described.
