Into the Arena
Article Abstract:
Working for the BBC can bring a significant degree of freedom, according to Anthony Wall, editor of the BBC2 arts programme 'Arena.' He still feels that he can made a significant contribution to the BBC as a public service broadcaster, but is concerned about the fact that the director's role is no longer always paramount. He believes that there is a place for journalistically driven arts programmes, but accepts that ultimately journalism and the arts are not the same.
