Walt Disney has teamed up with Microsoft to use the software giant's digital rights management systems in order to protect its content for upcoming online services. Digital rights management has many benefits, it acts as a kind of insurance for broadcasters, providing employees with easy access to all the information dealing with copyright restrictions relating to a piece of footage.

Mobile TV goes full stream ahead

MobiTV co-founder and chairman Dr. Phillip Alvelda, who is a keynote speaker at the 2007 International Broadcasting Convention, went through many challenges since the company started in the late 1990s. The company is now a successful mobile broadcasting business with over 2 million paying subscribers. His views on the current trends in mobile broadcasting are also presented.
