Article Abstract:
The genre of education television is facing an uncertain future as the television industry shift to digital offerings. Channel 4 and BBC jointly produce 1,000 hours of educational television a year, but that is expected to change in the future. Broadcasters are moving towards interactive teaching content which is sent to schools through digital channels, DVDs, CD-Roms and broadband Internet services.

Can the sitcoms sit up?
Article Abstract:
Comedy programs in Britain are declining and giving way to soap operas, reality television and game shows. UK television shows don't have the writing teams in place or the number of episodes that the US has, and smaller channels don't have the finances to risk commissioning unproven sitcoms.
