Listening to the voice of VoD
Article Abstract:
Television broadcasting industry and independent filmmakers are at loggerheads over media rights. At issue are the right of independent filmmakers to broadcast television programs produced by them through other media, like video-on-demand, mobile, and broadband. According to broadcasters, the television programs are paid for by them, so it is their property. It was expected that Ofcom's report on the issue would resolve it. However, in view of the complexity, Ofcom has opted to take more time to study the issue.
