Moral solidarity and the technological reproduction of images
Article Abstract:
The technological creation of images especially creation ofrepresentation of human beings, have ramifications in the moral realm. Walter Benjamin held there is a similarity between art in the age of photography and radicalism in the period of socialism. Michael Ignatieff and Richard Rorty have a tremendous faith in the capacity of technologically reproduced images to influence international moral conscience and moral solidarity.

Treaty now! Indigenous music and music television in Australia
Article Abstract:
Indigenous aboriginal music remains marginal to pop music TV in Australia, although some eclectic inroads are occurring. The mainstream TV competitors MTV and Rage are broadening their coverage to include crossover pop music. The greatest success was Midnight Oil's 1991 video 'Treaty' which concerned a proposed treaty to protect aboriginal rights.
