In Febuary 2000 Europe's largest broadcaster, CLT-Ufa, will raise its stake in Channel 5 from 29% up to 35.4%. President and CEO Remy Sautter wants his Luxembourg-based company to be the lead shareholder of C5.

There are three Carlton executives, Nick Bullen, Richard Clemmow and David Mercer, who have failed to find jobs in ITV PLC, in addition to a lot more. This only provides further evidence that the merger has become a Granada takeover.
