The Broadcasting Standards Commission's new chairman, Lord Holme, will have a more liberal administration than his predecessor, one that will work more closely with broadcasters. He claims the BSC should be more like a coach than a nanny.

Mark Thompson, right hand man of Greg Dyke, is updating public service broadcasting for the digital world. Many in the British Broadcasting Corporation say Thompson is the only broadcaster qualified to takeover leadership of the company.
