News agents
Article Abstract:
The high cost of producing distinctive and selective news footage is forcing many news broadcasting programme makers to turn to the services of agencies, who can provide news coverage for a fraction of the price involved in employing a dedicated reporting team. News provider Reuters has invested up to 3.5 million pounds sterling in 1998, increasing its ability to cover news stories for over 400 subscribers, using 150 separate cameras. Providing client-focused material is the main aim of agencies who cover news stories around the globe.
