Ofcom opens FM licence bidding
Article Abstract:
The major radio groups like Emap, Capital, GMG, Chrysalis, GWR and SMG have pledged to apply for at least the majority of the larger licences. Ofcom has overhauled the licence application process since taking on the responsibility from the Radio Authority and would offer a more streamlined approach to bids, reducing the amount of information required and offering more steers about the commercial potential of the licences.

Big players bid for Glasgow FM license
