PPV: A whole new ball game
Article Abstract:
Pay-television is expected to dominate television broadcasting of sport through to the new millennium, however, terrestrial channels are expected to benefit as pay-TV enters a new, less exclusive phase. Rugby League is one of a number of sports which do not want to quit the terrestrial scene, mainly due to the risk of losing sponsors as a result of lower, more selective audience figures on pay-TV.
