Police line closes in on footage
Article Abstract:
Police reality television programs are becoming more popular in the U.K., with ITV's 'Police, Camera, Action,' and BBC 1's 'Car Wars' becoming quite successful. Although they continue to gain ratings, privacy laws such as the Human Rights Act, the smart nature of many of the police forces, and cutbacks in police personnel able to work with the producers have posed problems. As long as the show content and nature remain high quality, however, these police shows will continue their popularity.
