Paramount Comedy Channel has a long history of producing comedy hits such as the widely successful "Spaced" in 1999, and continues to commission original programming and stand-up comedy material that gives new comedians a venue to showcase their talent. Its line of stand-up comedy shows include "Comedy Store" and "World Stand Up". Paramount's collaborative projects with Five is also discussed.

Fighting for young male viewers
Article Abstract:
Bravo's television programs "Real Football Factories" and "Brits Behind Bars" are well known among male viewers aged 16 to 44. Both shows had large budgets, enabling producers to provide a view of different anti-social behavior that appeals to its action-hungry audience. The success stories behind Bravo's male-oriented commissions are disucssed.
