Article Abstract:
The study of fisheries has undergone changes in the past decade, including the incorporation of environmental and interdisciplinary studies. The transition brings into question whether the term ofisho or ofisherieso deserves to remain in university curricula. The study of fisheries nevertheless remains an integral part of natural resource management.
