Article Abstract:
Dan Chambers, the new and young director of programmes with Five, is focusing on more science, history and factual programs for ABCIs, and more entertainment for 16 to 34 year-olds. He is also aiming to increase the limited programme budget of [pounds sterling]170 million in order to enhance the channel's share. In the long term, he feels, it would prove more strategic for Five to go in for multichannels, and team up with other partners like, Sky TV or C4.
