Article Abstract:
The Fourth World Fisheries Congress would be held in May 2004 in Vancouver, British Columbia to discuss the global fisheries issues. Those people, who organize and participate in such meetings, would gain new professional skills, develop lifetime friendships and the overall profession of fisheries would get benefited due to the increased awareness of global issues and perspectives.

AFS awarded global sustainable fisheries grant

AFS was awarded grant to promote sustainable fisheries in developing nations around the world. The grant came from the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to improve sustainable fishers management.
