Thompson: BBC must take risks

BBC director general Mark Thompson, after surviving the editing and phone-in scandals in 2007, is launching a Failing to Succeed initiative to push producers and commissioners into taking risks. The program will be headed by BBC creative director Alan Yentob, and it aims to dismiss the common notion that the scandals were due to creative bravery.

Dacre quits Ten Alps to launch Inclusive Digital
