Thompson faces battle to sell BBC cuts to staff

BBC workers unions such as Bectu and NUJ are threatening to hold a strike if rumors of posts being made redundant by director general Mark Thompson are true. The redundancy is part of Thompson's six-year strategy, which includes commissioning 10% less programs. Other planned staff and budget cuts are discussed.
