Young guns turn on ITV
Article Abstract:
Childrens television programme viewing figures for Independent Television (ITV) dipped dramatically during the first quarter of 1996 because viewers prefered those presented by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). BBC's share of 71% overshadowed ITV's diminished amount by 46%. The BBC's latest strategy of showing three episodes of Blue Peter appears to have succeeded in taking business away from ITV. Some ITV programmes such as Mike and Angelo and Art Attack have continued in their popularity.
