The US Army leadership is a consequence of the training and education system that provides a constant supply of fully qualified and capable leaders, who constitute the Army. The constancy of Army leadership was most clearly demonstrated in the years before Operations Just Cause in Panama as the preparation for that campaign began months before its execution.

Article Abstract:
A career Army officer recounts his experiences, from the end of World War II through the Vietnam era, when the 'best and brightest' were periodically said to be leaving the military. However, those who stayed held the Army together and kept it ahead of the rest of the world in military capabilities.

Korean War lessons
Article Abstract:
Two important aspects of the Korean War have not had proper analysis in the 50th anniversary coverage of the war. The first is that the U.S. did not win the war. Secondly, the centralization of control over military operations took a major step during that time.
