ACE engineers in Operation Iraqi Freedom
Article Abstract:
Engineers of Marine Wing Support Squadron 372 share their experiences of Operation Iraqi Freedom(OIF) that began with deployment of Marines to Kuwait and ended with major rapid runaway repair mission in Tirkit. The mission of aviation combat engineers - ACE has evolved in recent years as the engineers embrace a more expeditionary mindset, as shown during OIF and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Article Abstract:
The tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), known as the 10 combat commandments described, help to facilitate success, tempo, and force protection at the tactical level of operations. The combat commandments described are to kill the enemy/control key terrain, avoid danger areas, attack on contact, and use suppressive fire when maneuvering among others.
