AOC roundtable provides insights
Article Abstract:
The Air Force is looking at opportunities where unmanned aerial vehicles can provide close-up jamming capabilities against radars and other capabilities that can support other programs in case they do not proceed on schedule. Electronic Warfare is a high priority for the Army as well and is trying to stretch its budget by leveraging work done by other services and joint community projects. A panel of selected military and DOD officials suggested that UAVs with electronic warfare (EW) payloads may have the capability to jam threats efficiently at very close ranges and with less power.
