Kiwis accept Springbok-made chamber to assist injured divers
Article Abstract:
Southern Oceanics Ltd. of Cape Town, S Africa, has its new TC 1150 Transport Chamber for on-site emergency recompression applications commissioned for use by the Royal Navy of New Zealand. The fully-transportable TC 1150 Transport Chamber is appropriate for the provision of support to standalone diving missions. The TC 1150 is equipped with a weather-resistant, fiber-glass panel for its main control systems and can house two persons. It also allows the treatment of injured divers at pressurized conditions.

New priorities emerge for New Zealand's navy
Article Abstract:
The Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) that has the strength of less than 2000 is reviewed. The review revealed that several government requirements, such as, the capabilities like patrol capability for New Zealand's economic exclusion zone (EEZ) and those of the dependant Pacific Island states were not met by the current RNZN.
