Armoured Cavalry and Recce Vehicles
Article Abstract:
The current assets and ongoing programmes for Armored Cavalry Recce Vehicles (ACRV) in Italy, United States, France, Germany and United Kingdom are described. Long-range reconnaissance, observation and screening, C4I forces interoperability, flank guard, delaying actions, area control, rescue and recovery of friendly personnel and optimal surveillance and survivability are some of the operational roles of the new ACRV.

IVECO, part of the FIAT group offers wide range of medium and heavy trucks for military uses, belonging to purpose-built tactical vehicles and off-road commercial trucks militarized to a level as specified by the customer. Some of the trucks made for military purpose are Mercedes-Benz ACTROS, MAN HX 42.430 Tatra truck, Mercedes-Benz ATE60 818DA, and the Volvo FL12.
