The Army National Guard (ARNG), the community-based force with its unique dual state and federal missions, provides a full spectrum of operational capability, protecting citizens' liberties and the nation's freedom. Its community-based citizen-soldiers voluntarily serve as defenders of the nation and preserve a legacy of selfless sacrifice as they immediately respond to a governors or a presidential call to duty with their motto of 'always ready, always there'.

Article Abstract:
Cliffs of Pointe du Hoc makes the Army men remember 6th June 1944 called the D-Day when the American soldiers had to climb these cliffs against harrowing odds to liberate France. The Army has undergone significant changes and transitions in past decade and makes one remember the old days when it had to struggle.
