Army recruiting crisis: Problems, responses and prognosis
Article Abstract:
The ability to acquire sufficient quantities of high-quality US Army personnel is imperative since World War II, when the United States became a superpower with global security responsibilities and in that process and the US Army have had various problems of recruiting during peacetime and wartime. The review of recruitment practices during the past 30-plus year in ways that reveal why some ploys worked well while others failed is given.

Article Abstract:
Robert C. Kingston, who gained fame as a second lieutenant during the Korean War for leading a task force to the Yalu River, went on to many other accomplishments in the service of his country. Kingston retired from the Army as a four-star general.
